FeetSeries - A Look DOWN UNDER

Feet Series is a simple photographic concept, the feet are not the subject, they are the reference point for pictures taken looking down, which is how we came about the tag line "A Look DOWN UNDER" which is a play on the fact that the pictures are below and my heritage is Australian. Normally we take pictures looking out and this is a normal photographic perspective, however FeetSeries is a celebration of that which we walk on or what happens below us.

So much effort goes into what we stand on and this is sometimes ignored as a subject and recorded much less than those picturesque landscapes or architectural elements we all know of.

Oh then there is the book... or books, edition 1 will be a selection of the best of FeetSeries so far with future editions to include both my shots and those selected from submissions to the gallery. Will you be in the books?

Having a photo included in the site is easy as uploading your own version. There are some guidelines that need to be met however as not just any shot with feet in it qualify. The general idea is:

1. The feet are not the focus only a reference point, no more than 5% of the shot is feet. 1-2% is ideal
2. The shot is taken by hand (or on a tripod) no more than body height.
3. The shot is to avoid body parts and people, except where it becomes an integral part of the shot.
